Founder and CEO, Abram Harris feels that continued education is important and that the cost of going to school shouldn't be an excuse not to go. Each year Transportation Bull takes a percentage of all billable invoices along with additional contributions from it's customers and designates it as Scholarship Moneys to award as scholarship money for school expenses.
Unlike most scholarship programs, the Transportation Bull Scholarship comes with very few strings attached. We DO NOT ask that you commit to a career in trucking, logistics, mechanics, farming, or any other specific field or major. All we ask is that you use our scholarship funds for school related expenses.
Students in low household income situations are encouraged to apply regardless of the type of school they want to attend; University, College, Trade Schools, Institutes in any field or major, that you desire.
The Transportation Bull Scholarship offers up to $5000 to students of low income households to help offset the cost that comes with a good education.
Our scholarship program is designed to help students from low income households take away some of the financial sting that comes from furthering their eduction. It is limited to students in the United States with an annual household income of $100,000 or less.
Higher education can be a new chalange to most people. So why should we make it more so with our requirements?
Simply put to qualify for up to $5000 in scholarship funds from Transportation Bull and it's partners you will need to meet the following requirements:
PLEASE NOTE: Transportation Bull reserves the right to present multiple awards and awards of lesser value to Applicants as they feel so inclined.
Applications need to be in no later than April 15th of each year and selections are made by a committee consisting of the President and CEO Abram Harris, an Transportation Bull Driver, and a member from each contributing scholarship partner.
Selection is made based on completion of the application and the introduction and Essay portions of the application. While a high Grade Point Average isn't a requirement we do take this into consideration.
Before awarding Scholarships income verification will be reviewed to make sure student meets the household income requirement and all references will be contacted.
All Awardees, Parent or Guardian, and school will be notified of their award by May 10th of that year. Along with a Formal letter of notification an announcement will be made through a local newspaper in the awardee's city/town.
Scholarship Awardees will be presented their Scholarship either at a school sanctioned awards ceremony ( If after May 15th) or in person. The Scholarship will be payable to the institution they will be attending as credit towards school expenses such as tuition, books, meal plans, or on campus residence.
Scholarship awards are renewable each year by presenting a copy of official transcripts showing a B average or greater.
